The genesis of the K.V. |
| 1. Old Circuit house in the year 1980 on September 5th with primary section. 2. From 1980 to 1989 the school functioned in the old circuit house – grew up to Class – X 3. 1989 –moved to C B/4 , cantonment Road. 4. 1990 - +2 Science stream introduced . 5. In 2001 – a drastic change was observed. The campus was modified with ceiling of asbestos rooms and a big Playground with a skating ring. 6. 2004 – The foundation stone was laid for the new building in Bidanasi , CDA. 7. 2006 – The school moved to OTS new building. The school was raise to a three sections . 8. 2007 – Commerce stream opened. |

| 1. Previous campus was taken on hire from the state police Dept. and all the necessary equipments were provided for the vidyalaya. 2. The present campus is the permanent building with a vast playground. 3. It emerged with its new beautiful shape with gardens , lawns , cycle and vehicle sheds, outside. 4. Inside – with enriched labs – chemistry , Biology ,Physics , Computer , SUPW and Art and specious classroom. |

Kendriya Vidyalaya, Cuttack was established in the civil sector in the year 1980. It functioned at circuit House , Nuapatana, Cuttack before being shifted to another temporary site at CB- 4, Cantonment Road, Cuttack in the year 1994.
A full fledged B- 1 type permanent building was constructed at CDA Sector- 1 Bidanasi , Cuttack over the land measuring 7.2 acrcs provided by Govt. of Orissa.
The school has been functioning in its permanent building since june – 2006.
it has got 36 class rooms , Computer, Physics , Chemistry , Biology & Maths Lab. Resource room, Junior Science Lab, Art & Craft Lab, Music Room Etc. Separate rooms are for Principal , Vice-Principal , Head Master & Staff Room for the teaching Staff.At present 11 staff quarters have been constructed.
The present student strength of the Vidyalaya is 1515 & the strength of the staff members stands at 61. the school provides education from class I to XII with both science and Commerce stream at +2 level. The school is affiliated with CBSE Board , New Delhi.
